Panel 1. Agatha and her partner lie in their bed. The man is sleeping. Agatha has woken up and is stretching her arm over to answer the ringing phone. The phone is over the night table. Agatha has just woken up, but looks happy, satisfied, like the first panels of page 2. Her partner’s face is not visible, and his body is covered by sheets.
AGATHA I’ve got it.
Panel 2. Agatha’s mother talks to the phone, relieved. Behind her, the elevator door is closing, but she is unaware of it. AGATHA (OP) Hello?
AGATHA’S MOTHER Agatha?
AGATHA (OP) Yes?
AGATHA’S MOTHER Oh, Agatha, you’re home! Thank God!
Panel 3. Agatha’s mother turns over and freezes at the sight of the closed elevator door, letting go of the phone.
AGATHA (OP) Mother? Mother, is that you?
Panel 4. The closed elevator door. The signs over it show the number 2 and the upwards arrow.
Panel 5. The phone hits the ground near Agatha’s mother nude feet and breaks.
